Privacy by design

Your health data stays yours.

sputi uses Apple Health only when you allow it. While you are signed in, completed activities and authorized workout readings are uploaded to the server automatically.

Collected locally

With your HealthKit permission, sputi reads workout heart rate, active energy, and steps from your iPhone or Apple Watch. After an interrupted save, it may read only the matching sputi workout record to verify that Apple Health saved it. Without an active sign-in, completed activities and those readings remain only on your Apple devices.

What can be uploaded

While signed in, sputi automatically uploads every completed activity: its route, timing, pause and resume events, plus available heart-rate readings, active energy, and step count for that workout.

What is never sent

sputi does not upload your Apple ID, device identity or name, HealthKit source metadata, or unrelated health categories such as sleep, ECG, blood oxygen, medical records, body measurements, or reproductive health.

Permission and control

Health access alone does not sign you in or upload anything. Signing in does not grant Health access. Signing in enables automatic uploads of completed activities and workout readings you have already authorized. Signing out stops new uploads.

How readings are used

Workout readings are used only to present your activity history. They are not sold, used for advertising, mined for marketing, or used to build an advertising profile.

Storage and retention

While you are signed in, workout readings are stored with the activity and a random sputi account identifier for as long as the uploaded activity remains saved. Without an active sign-in, activities remain only on the device.

You can revoke sputi access in Apple Health or iOS Settings at any time. Revocation stops future access; it does not remove readings already included in a local or uploaded activity.
